LCARS Version 9 on the Way

The biggest changes coming to LCARS Version 9 take place "under the hood" but will have a noticeable impact to the template. One of the major changes I want to touch on here has to do with how the template handles an overflow of text in the banner at the very top of the page:

As you can see, if there are too many characters, the text wraps behind the next level of content. Instead of limiting the length of characters in the banner, I have rebuilt the top section of LCARS so that an overflow of text will simply "push" content down, and lengthen the height of the LCARS sidebar.

The "banner" being referenced to in this post is located in HTML here:

<div class="banner">
SOME TEXT
</div>

LCARS 9 is an extensive update, and I hope to bring it to you yet this month (October). If you haven't downloaded LCARS 8 yet, I would wait until the release of version 9.

Live long and prosper.
