The LCARS Inspired Website Template is strictly HTML and CSS without the use of graphics. This makes it lightweight and fast. The design is responsive, which means that it will adapt its layout to fit the varying viewports (screen sizes) of most devices. Oh, and there's no paywall between you and the templates - they are free to use under my EULA.

LCARS Usage Requirements

Anyone familiar with HTML and CSS can use the LCARS templates. All you need is your imagination and favorite text editor. If you want a public-facing LCARS website, you will need web hosting.

What is 'LCARS'?

LCARS (pronounced elkarz) is an acronym for Library Computer Access/Retrieval System. LCARS was the fictional computer operating system on Star Trek beginning with The Next Generation. The LCARS graphical interface was designed by graphic designer and ST:TNG scenic art supervisor Michael Okuda.

LCARS comes in many colors. This website uses what I call the Classic Theme as it was prevalent in all 3 shows - TNG, Deep Space Nine and Voyager. As a side note, Star Trek: Enterprise had its own unique brand of LCARS, which I hope to develop as a website template in the near future.
